How much will I get for my used equipment?
Items absolutely must be brought into the store for an estimate at our buying counter located upstairs, or through our loading bay entrance when bringing in a bicycle. Keep in mind, we will work with you face-to-face when purchasing your gear and pay you in cash same day. We want to make your selling experience as convenient as possible.
Are there skis you won’t buy?
Due to legal and liability reasons certain ski bindings are not applicable for purchase. Each year manufacturers provide our store with a list of bindings which are still considered current and safe to adjust, models not on said list cannot be bought or sold. Most skis within the last 5 years are usually safe, but if you’re not sure give us a call at 604-879-6000 and double check before dropping by to sell your skis. Cracked skis, skis that have been drilled 3 or more times, and skis with considerable base and edge damage or missing parts are also refused for purchasing.
Are there snowboards and bindings you won’t buy?
Certain older boards and bindings beyond the 10+ year mark are sometimes not compatible with modern equipment and for this reason we may not be able to purchase these items. Step-in boots and bindings are also outdated and will not be bought. Finally, cracked gear, and boards with considerable base and edge damage or bindings missing parts are also refused for purchasing.
Are there bicycles you won’t buy?
Bicycles with considerable damage, missing components, rusted over, or re-painted, may be refused for purchase. Any bicycle bought used on Craigslist will be refused immediately. Bicycles that do not meet certain standards in our assessment may be refused as well. Proof of purchase is ideal when selling your bike to make the process go as smoothly as possible, although it is not a requirement. Bicycles potentially on watch for being stolen will also be refused immediately. Do keep in mind we police check all bikes purchased on our premises. The 5 week police check hold will affect the amount we can offer you when buying, though the convenience of guaranteed same day cash and our buying staff will make the experience as optimal as possible.
Are there golf clubs that you won’t buy?
Any club or set of clubs more 10 years old may be refused. Out dated and/or damaged equipment will also be refused.
Any other equipment that you won’t buy?
Damaged items will be refused. Safety gear such as helmets of any kind regardless of condition will be refused. Climbing harnesses, carabiners, most knives, archery gear, diving gear and dry suits, propane, any kind of gas, bear spray, bb guns, guns, used cycling shorts, used swim trunks and suits, used sandals, used socks, unhygienic or mouldy sporting goods will all be refused for purchase. Anything potentially on watch for being stolen will also be refused immediately
